Tunisia 1-3 Spain: Monday, 19 June
During the first half and also much of the second half of this match I was very happy and proud of the Tunisian team!
But towards the end of the match it was very difficult for them as Spain scored three goals.
The game ended with the Tunisian team having an undeserved defeat. But at least my team showed that it is quite able to hold head high against larger teams.
I am a little annoyed with the referee as I don't think he helped our players.
But we do not lose hope as there's still the last group match against the Ukraine. This will be our last chance.
And I hope that chance will be on our side and that Tunisia will qualify to the next round!
Tunisia 2-2 Saudi Arabia: Wednesday, 14 June
Wow, what a match!
Where I live we all met in the large room together to see the Tunisia vs. Saudi Arabia match and we all had Tunisian flags!
I was very happy and very proud when my hero Zied Jaziri scored the first goal. But unfortunately, in spite of the goal, we failed to win. My brothers and I were very disappointed.
I think the players from Saudi Arabia were really on form. But we knew the Tunisian team could equalize towards the end of the match and when they did everyone started to shout and sing and jump!
Now I think we will win the matches against Spain and the Ukraine!
Tournament preview
What's the atmosphere like in Tunisia?
The national team of Tunisia are called 'the Eagles of Carthage' and this will be the fourth time they have been to the World Cup. In order to arrive at the final phase of the World Cup, Tunisia finished top of its group and now they have to play Spain, the Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.
Here, in Tunisia, people are excited and believe that the Eagles can win their first match against Saudi Arabia. We also think that if we do not lose to Spain and the Ukraine, we will then be able to reach the second round!
I think the 23 selected players are in good form. But unfortunately during a friendly warm-up match our player Issam Jomoa was injured and so has been replaced by Chawki Ben Saada.
Many people are already wearing the Tunisia team shirt and at school we speak only about the World Cup and about our favourite players! And I am also learning some songs to encourage our players during their matches.
