World Cup prediction: Brazil will win. England might get to the semi-finals and South Korea might get through the preliminary rounds (depending on the recovery of Park Ji Sung and Lee Young-Pyo).

South Korea 0-2 Switzerland: Friday 23 June

The match between Switzerland and S Korea caused quite a controversy.

The local press is going wild with anger.

The match was at 4.00am here and many stayed up for it.

During the first half, Senderos the powerful centre back scored an amazing goal against Korea.

The passion of the Swiss players was amazing.

After the first goal, Korea played better than ever before.

We made plenty of chances throughout the game.

As time passed, the referee ruled the game in the favour of Swiss.

The referee did not blow the whistle even when the Swiss player performed a dazzling handling foul. Yes. It gets worse!

And then the side referee holds up the flag as Frei scores the second goal.

But the side referee slipped the flag down right after the goal.

All of our defence players let Frei go because of the offside signal.

After the "mistake," our players simply lost the will to fight back.

I am still very proud of them for doing their best.

We didn't make it to the second round but I think we did a good job.

South Korea 1-1 France: Sunday 18 June

The game started at four o'clock in the morning for Korea, yet millions of supporters, also known as the "Red Devils", gathered to cheer on our football team. There were about 80 places across the nation in which enormous screens were set up.

I couldn't watch the game because I was too busy playing soccer in my sleep. Even right now I'm still half a sleep! (Zzzz)

When I got to school, my friends and I were busy watching the highlights of the game during break time.

I was satisfied with the result. Despite the fact that we barely tried to attack and only focused on defence, we got lucky and made one of the few chances a goal (Park Ji Sung has done it again!!)

The French dominated the game until the last 15 minutes. We were terrified by the speed and power of the players of France.

However, our goal keeper Lee Woon Jae made some amazing saves.

We are very proud of our players.

South Korea 2-1 Togo: Tuesday 13 June

Just moments ago, Korea won against Togo after quite a struggle during the first half.

After an amazing free-kick by Lee Chun Soo, Ahn Jung Hwan, the "miracle goal maker" of 2002, scored an amazing goal. Joe Je Jin didn't do so well in contrast.

The people are going wild. Just outside my apartment, people are celebrating the victory by shooting up fireworks.

15 million people gathered in front of the City Hall to cheer on the Korean national team. Others gathered in front of Gwang Hwa Moon, one of the four main entrances to Seoul during the Chosun Dynasty as well as Kangnam Station.

The atmosphere here is heated to its peak. Cars on the high way are all honking the rhythm of Dae Han Min gook (Korea in Korean). For the first time in history, Korea has finally succeeded in gaining a win on an away match. Dae Han Min Gook!

Tournament preview

What's the atmosphere like in South Korea?

About a month ago our striker Lee Dong-Kuk injured himself during a match and was left out from the entry list. Now he's gone everyone has realized his importance.

The top players of our 2002 team have got injuries so some people are saying that Korea won't even pass the preliminary rounds. I don't think there will be a problem in passing the preliminary rounds if the key players successfully overcome their injuries.

Go Reds Go!
