Australia 0-1 Italy: Monday, 26 June
What a way to go out. A penalty decision that was clearly not a penalty in the last 10 seconds of the game.
Nevertheless, Australia put up a great fight against one of the world's best teams and can be very proud of the way they played and handled such a big occasion.
Australia had a few chances to put a goal away early on in the game as well as a few during the game.
They were unlucky not to have scored at least two goals with the shots flying straight at the Italian goal keeper.
This World Cup has been a great learning curve for the Australian team. They stepped up to every occasion and played their hardest, and it paid off.
I'm sure the world footballing community will recognise Australia as a worthy and hard opponent after the games we played.
Look out for Australia in the next World Cup in 2010. Well done Australia!
Australia 0-2 Brazil: Sunday, 18 June
Australia put in a great effort against the reigning World Champions, keeping them to only two lucky goals in the end.
Australia kept up with the fast paced game that the Brazilians play and broke forward to attack their goal on occasions.
The few chances at goal that Australia had either went too high, wide or straight at the keeper, but they kept their calm and didn't get frustrated and start going for stupid tackles.
Don't worry Australia, I'm sure that we will bounce back and put Croatia through its paces.
Australia 3-1 Japan: Monday, 12 June
We won we won! The first time ever that Australia has won a game in the World Cup!
The whole of Australia was biting their nails until the 85th minute when Tim Cahill scored our first goal. When he scored his second goal five minutes later the whole country hit the roof.
Just to put the icing on the cake, John Aloisi sealed the win in the first minute of injury time. The score 3-1 wasn't expected but it was well fought and the team came through for the rest of the country and for each other.
We had most of the possession in the game but we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net. Australia is happy with the win and we are ready to take on Brazil.
Tournament preview
What's the atmosphere like in Australia?
The lead up to the World Cup in Australia isn't too big because football isn't a very big part of this country's culture. However, when our team got into the World Cup there was so much excitement around because there has been a World Cup drought in Australia for too long!
The fact that we are in a group with Brazil, Croatia and Japan is exciting because being in a group with such good teams will give Australia a boost and I think they will step up to the occasion.
I will probably be watching the games at my house because they will be in the early morning here. I'm not really sure how Australia will do because we haven't had much practice playing the big teams at such a high level. I really hope we go to the second round and push some of the big teams in world football.
