USA 1-2 Ghana: Thursday 22 June
USA's World Cup dreams are now over after a disappointing loss to Ghana.
Italy beat the Czech Republic so if the USA beat Ghana they would have been in the last 16, but USA couldn't rally back to score the two goals needed to win in the second half.
And the team let in yet another early goal - in every game our opposition has scored within the 28th minute and every game the other team has scored first.
But the USA was finally able to score their first and only goal of this year's World Cup!
After a great pass in front of the goal, Dempsey was able to power the ball into the back of the net, tying the game. Unfortunately Ghana took back the lead before the end of the half scoring with penalty kick.
I think Eddie Johnson was subbed into the game a little late so he didn't have time to change the game.
Our whole country was disappointed with the loss and we expected USA to play better in this year's World Cup. No one thought USA would leave the world cup ranked last in Group E with only one point.
It was a good effort by the players and coaches, just not enough against the world's top teams.
USA 1-1 Italy: Saturday 17 June
USA football fans were out of their seats cheering even before the match started, because of the huge upset of Ghana beating Czech Republic. I'm sure all the USA players felt relieved that Ghana was able to pull off the win because it takes the pressure off our team.
The USA vs. Italy match was great. I felt that both teams played very well and were evenly matched.
Italy scored the first goal of the match but the score was soon tied 1-1. However, a USA player still hasn't scored a goal in the World Cup! Italy scored an own-goal because of a miscommunication in front of the net.
By the end of the match every player on the field looked very tried except for the USA goalkeeper Keller. He saved his team by making a couple great saves with only minutes to go. The atmosphere around my city and country is great.
We need a win against Ghana on Thursday to have a chance to move on in the World Cup. This will be a challenge playing with out Mastroweni and Pope, who both got red cards against Italy.

USA 0-3 Czech Republic: Monday 12 June
Our first match was a major disappointment to the whole country. We all knew the Czech team were good but we were hoping for at least a draw. No one was expecting such a blow out.
The atmosphere was amazing as everyone has been watching the other countries play and we were ready for the US to show the world their football skills. I was still in school and the game was right in the middle of class, but that didn't stop my friends and I from checking the score on the internet and our cell phones!
The start of the game was very disappointing with the US letting in a quick first goal within the first nine minutes. With another Czech goal to follow the game seemed out of reach for the US. The Czech team then scored yet another goal to go ahead three to nil. The Czech defence did a great job of shutting down Donovan and the rest of the US attackers.
The next US match is against Italy so we must win! If we lose to Italy we will be eliminated.

What's the atmosphere like in the USA?
The USA is getting really excited about the World Cup, but the matches with Italy and Czech Republic will be tough. The Czech Republic is my biggest worry in Group E so we'll have to play hard and Donovan will need to have a great game.
All of the USA players play in the MLS (Major League Soccer), and we've just started our six-month season, so they should be at their best for the World Cup because they will have practiced a lot.
I can't wait for the first match against Czech Republic on 12 June! I think we'll get to the second round but lose in a close match to Brazil. Brazil will then go on to win.
