would be great if I could play football for my country too!)
Trinidad and Tobago 0-2 Paraguay: Tuesday 20 June
Well Paraguay came out with a bang.
They had nothing to lose, so they were out to attack and so
they did.
The game was different to their other two games, as they played defensive in those games.
I think we tried our best and we did have several attempts to score, but none with any success.
The second-half was much better than the first.
You will notice that Latapy made a difference when he came on
the field.
The only thing I was not happy about in this World Cup, is that I think the coach could have put on Latapy in the other two matches and he may have made a difference.
All in all I think we gave a good show at the WorldCup this year, considering it was our first!
I am sure we will be there again, hopefully in 2010 - South
Africa.
Trinidad and Tobago 0-2 England: Thursday, 15 June
Trinidad and Tobago has really played their hearts out
in the first two matches!
They actually kept England to a draw up until the last ten minutes of the game. I think that was outstanding, we give England an
excellent fight!
I would like to see Latapy work magic in our game with
Paraguay on June 20th. I hope the coach puts him
on in the second half, as we need to get at least two
goals and England needs to beat Sweden badly for us to
qualify for the next round.
But all is not lost! I think my country has far exceeded
their expectations. It is our first time in the World
Cup and they've done an excellent job, even if we do not go
through to the next round.
GOOD LUCK SOCA WARRIORS!!!!!
Trinidad and Tobago 0-0 Sweden: Saturday, 10 June
The world has been shocked by our draw with Sweden!
We played an excellent game and there was lots of
excitement from beginning to end. If you didn't know
better you would have thought we won and Sweden lost!
The expressions on people's face were incredible as having drawn
with Sweden was like a win for us. Our coach Beenhackker has done a fantastic job with the Warriors.
I think that the game was one of the big
upsets in the World Cup and I hope we can give
England and Paraguay as good a fight!
Tournament preview
What's the atmosphere like in Trinidad and Tobago?
In Trinidad and Tobago we are very passionate about football. There is a tremendous support for our Soca Warriors. People dress in red on all the days that we play matches to show support for the team - it has really brought our country together.
In Trinidad it is extremely hot and it will be a bit hard for us in Germany as it is cold there.
I am quite content with the group that we are in, as I believe that we play a similar type of football. I think that we have the potential and ability to give them some competition!
I am a HUGE fan of football and there is a football attached to my foot most of the day (and my mum is always fussing about it!). I cannot wait for the tournament to begin. I have my Soca Warrior t-shirt ready and waiting!
