The Cybermen, one of Doctor Who's most popular enemies, return in May in a two-part adventure.
They made their first appearance in an episode called The Tenth Planet in 1966 - the last episode to feature William Hartnell as The Doctor.
The Doctor's next run-in with the robotic terrors was The Moonbase, a four-part adventure shown in 1967.
The Doctor met them again that year when he travelled to the planet Telos, in The Tomb of the Cybermen.
The Doctor's assistant Zoe Heriot (Wendy Padbury) got a nasty shock from a Cyberman in 1968's The Wheel in Space.
And in 1968 adventure The Invasion the Cybermen march in front of St Paul's Cathdral in London.
The evil half-men-half-machines returned in 1975's Revenge of the Cybermen - partly filmed in Wookey Hole Caves, Somerset.
In 1982's Earthshock, the Cybermen killed the Doctor's assistant Adric (Matthew Waterhouse).
But in The Five Doctors in 1983, which featured five of the actors who played the time-traveller, this one met an explosive end.
The Cybermen have been redesigned for their latest adventure, which begins in the UK on 13 May. We reckon they look better without all that tinfoil.
