Dr Who villain: 'I'm not scary'

Anthony Head as evil headmaster Mr Finch in Doctor Who
Doctor Who villain Anthony Head has said that he thinks that children don't find him very scary.

The actor played evil headmaster Mr Finch in Saturday's episode called School Reunion.

He said: "There's been a good reaction to the episode but I met one little girl and asked if I scared her and she said no. I thought I was quite scary."

The actor spoke to Newsround at a big event called Collectormania, where fans get to meet their TV and film idols.

The actor said he really enjoyed filming for Doctor Who.

He said: "Mr Finch is such an arch villain - he was great fun to play.

"The best bit of filming was when I got to screech on the stairwell, and I got to see the shocked faces of the crew."

David Tennant and Billie Piper
Anthony said he remembers watching the first ever episode of Doctor Who: "I must have been about eight or nine at the time. But I think David Tennant is a brilliant Doctor and is great to work with.

"The bizarre thing is, when you speak to David he's not particularly odd but when he plays the Doctor, he is."
