Premiership: Red cards ruin game

The scuffle
Red cards for West Ham's Hayden Mullins and Liverpool's Luis Garcia in a dress rehearsal for the FA Cup final means both men could miss the showdown.

The Reds won the league match 2-1, but the action was largely overshadowed by the tussle in the 82nd minute.

Both teams have appealed to the FA, saying the players immediately said sorry to each other and the referee.

Garcia tackled Mullins, and Mullins pushed him to the floor. The final takes place in Cardiff next month.

The players were sent off for violent conduct, which normally carries a three-match ban.

Liverpool's man of the match was Djibril Cisse, who scored both goals in expert fashion.

The Reds opened the scoring, before the Hammers' Nigel Reo-Coker equalised. Then Cisse slotted in his second and sealed the victory.
