The Queen kicked off her 80th birthday celebrations with a special lunch for those with the same birthday as her. She invited 99 others born on 21 April 1926 to join her at the palace.
Among those sharing her special day were 80-year-old identical twin brothers Keith (right) and Jack (left) Hurst
On Thursday the Queen greeted excited crowds outside the BBC's headquarters which she would later visit
A host of school children were waiting for her to spell out their own birthday greetings
Once inside the BBC building the Queen was greeted by a host of radio celebrities including Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles
The Queen also shared a joke with presenter Chris Evans and Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley
