Potter star gets special portrait

Portrait of Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe has become the youngest person, apart from the Royal family, to have his portrait displayed at the National Portrait Gallery.

The drawing is one of 14 in an exhibition called Most People Are Other People, Portraits of Actors from Britain and Ireland.

Dan said of his portrait: "It's a great honour to be there."

Unfortunately for Potter fans, the portrait isn't a magical one, so Dan doesn't move around inside the frame!

Fellow Potter stars Timothy Spall, who plays Peter Pettigrew, and Professor Snape actor Alan Rickman also feature.

Daniel is now 16 years old, but was only 14 when he sat for the portrait.

He said: "I love it. Until recently, I'd seen a peek of it in the catalogue, but not actually seen the real thing.

"It was strange seeing myself as I was two years ago, not as I am now.

"If you look at each individual part of my face they look exactly like part of my face. Together it's surreal.

"It's a great honour to be there among such amazing actors and actresses."
