Where can I go swimming?

Most towns have a public swimming pool run by the local council where you can go swimming for fun or take part in organised lessons.

There may also be swimming pools at private sports centres, but you may have to be a member to use them.

If you're not sure where your nearest pool is or want to check when it's open and how much it costs to use, look in a telephone directory or try the internet.

Most counties have a club so there should be one close to home.
