Guinevere the fly-away vulture has been recaptured after six days on the loose in the Essex countryside.
The black vulture escaped from her home at a wildlife centre during a training session on Saturday.
She was finally caught when she was found perched on a low branch in a garden in Wickford, and her handler climbed up a ladder and grabbed her.
Keeper Lucy Murray said Guinevere was a bit tired, but apart from that she seemed to be alright.
Mr Murray said: "I'm a bit tearful at the moment because she has been out for so long. But she seems to be absolutely fine."
Reunited with her mate
The bird will have health checks at the Tropical Wings World of Wildlife centre before being reunited with her mate Lancelot, who is said to have missed her terribly.

During her time on the loose, Guinevere spent five days and nights flying around local villages and roosting in an oak tree on a piece of farm land.
Keepers tried to tempt her down to earth with her favourite snack of dead rabbits, but she refused to take the bait.
