About netball

Netball is a ball game played on a specially marked court with seven players on each team.

It developed out of basketball which was initially adapted to make it a more lady-like sport for girls.

However these days it's an extremely fast paced, energetic game.

It's officially the most popular sport for women in the UK but lots of boys are now starting to play too.

Most schools and sports centres have their own netball court and people of any age can play.
