How much fruit and veg do you eat?

Residents in Rochdale eat less fruit than other people in the UK, says a new survey.

People there bought an average of 1.19 portions a day - compared to a national average of 2.9.

But people in Bath came top of the table, buying an average 3.92 portions each day.

So we want to know if you're a fan of fruit and veg?

Do you try to eat your daily five portions that experts recommend?

What are your favourite fruit and vegetables?

And what are your worst?

Perhaps you have a passion for peas but can't bear bananas?

I don't really eat that many fruit and vegetables but I try my best! I love oranges and mango though! MMmmmm!

I don't eat much fruit but I am trying to try more stuff. It's hard trying fruit and when you're friends are eating junk food like crisps and you want to eat them not an apple or pear!
Joe, 11, Southampton

I love fruit and veg and eat more than five a day! Good old Bath!
Bobby-Jack, 11, Bath

I try to eat five-a-day and it's easy to get fruit at my school. We also have water bottles that we have to fill up regularly at school so that we get two litres of water a day, especially in summer or we get dehydrated.
Abi, 12, Bath

I eat more fruit and veg than I used to. I love fruit the most, peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, blackberries and many more!

My sister will eat everything apart from tomatoes and mushrooms. Me, I'll eat anything!
Tess, 11, London

I'm from Bath, but I rarely eat fruit and only vegetables when I'm forced to!
Tom, 15, Bath

I know Rochdale got the lowest and I think it's true as I don't eat hardly any fruit and veg - but believe me I try!
Gina, 15, Rochdale

I eat loads of fruit and veg - probably seven or eight portions a day. This isn't just because of my mum and dad though, I just love fruit and veg - especially pineapple!
Lucinda, 14, Ingatestone

I eat lots of fruit and veg and I don't see what all the fuss is as about half the children I know eat loads of fruit and veg! And with all the nice healthy foods on offer there's nothing to worry about!
Isobel, 11, Cheshire

I love fruit and veg. I eat more than five types of fruit and vegetables a day. I love strawberries and apples and my favourite vegetables are sprouts, carrots and broccoli and I love grapes!
Hannah, 11, Birmingham

I hardly like any vegetables apart from corn. But I try to eat a lot of fruit to make up for it.
Ellie, 13, Leeds

I hate the texture of fruit but I LOVE fruit juice! I have it every day so I am getting my five a day!
Chris, 14, Ipswich

I eat veg and fruit every day but I don't eat them on Saturdays! I have a bowl of fruit and a bit of veg very night though to keep healthy!

Laura, 12, Chesham

I love my fruit and veggies! Cant go a day with out having some! It good for you!
Jobhan, 14, Birmingham

I LOVE fruit and veg, especially sweet fruits like peaches! My little bro on the other hand hates most fruit and all veg, so my parents have a hard time getting him to eat them. He eats veg only if forced to, and then swallows them like tablets!
Amy, 14, Morden

I don't eat a lot of fruit and veg, but I do like it. Especially with my Nan's cooked dinners.
Angharad, 15, Wales

I'm from Rochdale and I eat more than the recommended five portions of fruit a day even if some people don't! I hope that one day everyone from Rochdale would eat their fruit like me!
Saffron, 14, Rochdale

I have a bowl of strawberry, kiwi and grapes after dinner every evening. During the day I drink lots of water. I try to keep away from fizzy drinks and sometimes I have a fruit drink which is really healthy! I'm happy with my diet but I would like to eat more vegetables, maybe that could be my New Year resolution for next year!
Char, 13, London

I eat lots of fruit and when I want a snack I take an ice cube with a piece of apple and grape in it as well. I also drink lime in my water - just cut slices of lime and into the water.
Berry, 11, Unknown

I try to eat as much fruit and veg as possible but sometimes you just want something different.
Mareya, 14, Burnley

My mum makes me eat vegetables so I have no choice, but I hate them!
Charlotte, 15, Chichester

I quite like most things but my little brother hates vegetables and so my mum has to cut them really small and disguise them in his food!
