I love the Edinburgh Festival

Edinburgh Festival

Press Packer Kirsty goes to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe every year.

In her report she tells us all about the festival, the fireworks and meeting famous people!

"I'm going to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Every year my family and I go to the Fringe to see acts that come from around the world to perform in the streets of Edinburgh.

Parades and fireworks

The parade is one of my favourite parts of the festival because you can see all of the acts, including those you didn't get a chance to see before.

I also like the fireworks at the end of the festival because they are really pretty and the music is cool too.

Military performance

I love the tattoo, which is where loads of military people perform.

I really enjoy the festival and am hoping to see some of the performers from abroad this year.

The fringe has been around since 1947 and is world famous.

Seeing famous faces

With some luck, I may see some famous people.

One year I met some Scottish rugby players. It was awesome!

Everyone should visit this amazing festival.

Kirsty, 14, Aberdeenshire
