Wembley Stadium is one of the most famous venues in the world. In 1966 Geoff Hurst helped England win the World Cup there.
The old stadium also played host to some huge concerts, including one of the most famous of all time in 1985 - Live Aid.
The old stadium wasn't always good to England though. In 1996 Gareth Southgate missed a penalty to see England go out of Euro 96.
Fireworks were let off after the final event - a charity concert - at the old Wembley, on 2 November 2000.
The designs for new Wembley looked amazing. This one used four huge poles to help keep the roof up.
But that was replaced by the now-famous arch, demonstrated by top architect Lord Norman Foster.
This model shows how the arch would work with the design.
Building has been going on for years now, and although the stadium is taking shape, it's not ready yet.
In fact, it's not going to be ready in time for the 2006 FA Cup final, when football bosses wanted to start playing games there.
The arch is finished though, and was lit for the first time on 22 June 2004, when England qualified for the quarter finals of Euro 2004.
