Wallace and Gromit triumphed at this year's annual animation awards in Hollywood picking up a whopping nine prizes for The Curse of the WereRabbit.

The British film was named best animated feature beating fellow Oscar contenders Corpse Bride and Howl's Moving Castle to the top prize.

The film also won awards for character animation, effects storyboarding and production design.

The film's director, Nick Park, was honoured for his directing skills.

Actor Peter Sallis, who provides Wallace's voice, won an award for voice acting.

In fact the film picked up awards for every category for which it was eligible!

The awards, which are also known as the Annies, often predict who will pick up the best animated film prize at the Oscars.
