I campaign for human rights

Amnesty International symbol

Amnesty International is an organisation that promotes human rights all over the world.

Hayley has been raising awareness for their campaigns in her school and tells us all about it in her report.

"I am a member of Amnesty International in my school.

Amnesty International is a human rights group who help prisoners of war and conscience.

At the moment we are raising money to send letters to people in prison or those who are being tortured.

Million faces

We are signing the million faces petition to show governments we care for the people.

The million faces petition is where you draw a portrait or send in a picture of yourself and it goes up in a gallery.

Amnesty International is trying to get one million faces by 2006.

Helping others

The best bit about helping Amnesty International is that I can get to help people who are less fortunate than I am.

We want people to join and help to campaign with Amnesty International. So if you want to set up a group try speaking to your RE department.

Or you could visit the Amnesty International website."

Hayley, 13, Lancashire

Why don't you write us a Press Pack report - and get it published on the site?!

It can be about anything that's happened in your local area - or your views on the news.
