What did you think of Live 8?

Tom and Danny from McFly at Live 8 in Tokyo
The Live 8 concerts - the biggest music events the world has ever seen took place this weekend.

U2, Madonna, Destiny's Child, Coldplay and McFly are just a few of the artists who played at the epic gigs.

And of course the event raised awareness of the Make Poverty History campaign and the G8 summit.

So did you watch the concerts? Who performed really well? Who was your fave artist?

Or did you not watch it at all?

E-mail and let us know.

Live 8 was the best thing I have ever seen and I will remember it for the rest of my life! All the acts were brilliant. I really liked Razorlight, U2 and Robbie Williams! I think it has achieved the aim it set out to achieve! It is a great way of ending poverty and I am very proud that I was a part of it! I watched it from 2 'til midnight... it was truly amazing!

Live 8 was amazing. I hope it persuades the G8 leaders to MAKE POVERTY HISTORY!!! Robbie Williams and the Killers were amazing.
Ruth, 14, Newport

Bob Geldof is a great guy and Live 8 was a brilliant idea. The music was great especially Velvet Revolver and it was good when Bob Geldof sang himself.
Jay, 14, Scotland

Get a load of Live 8!!!!! It was great. Sting, The Who, Razorlight AND the Killers all together!!!! With Will Smith in Phili and Craig David in Paris?? What a show!!! And for such a great cause!!! If this doesn't help us make poverty history I don't know what will.
Holly, 13, Norwich

Live 8 was fab and moving at the same time, I think the message is finally getting across to world leaders.
Kelly, 13, Cornwall

I think Live 8 was brilliant, and the people who think it won't have a big impact should go up to Edinburgh on Wednesday to see how many people come. Then they will see that because of the concerts and the protest, maybe we will be able to help those in need of rescuing.
Lily, 12, London

Live 8 was cool and all, but didn't anyone stop to think? 10,000 people... a pound a person... equals 10,000 pounds for Africa?
Katie, 14, Fulham

I think the idea of raising awareness of poverty was excellent, however the way they went about it wasn't. There was no need to waste so much money through security for the 'celebrities' and the cost of stage equipment - MONEY WHICH COULD HAVE FED A WHOLE VILLAGE FOR A YEAR!
Sabrina, 15, Birmingham

Live 8 was absolutely spectacular. Thousands of people packed into Hyde Park, and 1.5 million people gathered in Philadelphia! Absolutely unbelievable. Would never have imagined it was possible. Bob Geldof, you are a LEGEND!
Frazzle, 13, Ilkley

It was so cool, I loved it, it will help Africa.
Clare, 12, Petersfield

Live 8 Rocked! I watched the whole thing apart from the very beginning. I fell asleep at midnight though! I think it was a great way to put pressure on G8 leaders, I just hope they listen! I always wear my white band, and I totally support the Make Poverty History campaign.
Joe, 13, Surrey

Wooo! Live 8 was ace! WOO VELVET REVOLVER!! PINK FLOYD!! THE WHO!! GREEN DAY!!! WOOO!! And the Scissor Sisters were good too!!
Courteny, 14, Liverpool

It's ok but everyone's acting like Africa's the only place that's has poverty. It's not!
Sarauniya, 11, Mitcham

I think Live 8 was wicked! The stars were all brill and it was for a good cause!
Alison, 11, Cardiff

I think U2 rocked at Live 8 but I also liked Miss Dynamite.
Ben, 10, Coventry

Live 8 was the best and we have made awareness! I loved Madonna, U2 and Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, Killers - ALL OF THEM!!!!
Helena, 13, Ipswich

Live 8 was amazing!!! I loved every act. My favourites were the Killers, Scissor Sisters and Pink Floyd!!! The Live 8 concerts definitely DID raise awareness!
Chelsea, 14, London

It was great.
Rachel, 10, Clarkston

That was the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life! All those people!
Kirsty, 14, Harlow

I thought LIVE 8 was quite boring they had old people on that no1s heard of. It was rubbish the best bit was probably Ricky Gervais and when Jonathan Ross commentated!
Gillian, 11, Chester

Live aid and Live 8 are such good ideas. 50,000 people die every day of extreme poverty and after what happened here I hope Tony Blair will do something about it. It was amazing how many people joined in! I never thought so many people thought about poverty!!
Annabelle, 10, Blandford

Live 8 was a great idea. I can't believe how much it could help!!
Danielle, 14, Barnstaple

I think that Live 8 is great but I still don't understand why they don't charge a small amount to let people come and then the money can go to Africa? Even if they only charged like 10-20 rand per person?
Dayna, 15, South Africa

I think it was great, and really good fun, but I don't see how a concert is going to change the g8's mind.
Lydia, 12, Sheffield

L8 was great:) Madonna, Destiny's child and Muffle was very good :)
Jo, 15, Mitcham

I think Live 8 was great, a really good idea, but it overshadowed the rally in Edinburgh. You would not believe how incredible that was, but I heard nothing about it on the TV or news. I think this is unfair for all those people who made such a big effort to travel up here and march to make the living white band - it seems like all their efforts have been ignored!!!
Jenny, 14, Edinburgh

Live 8 was amazing - I've never seen a better show! The Killers, Razorlight, Robbie, Coldplay- all amazing!
Courtney-Dayne, 15, Princes Risborough

Live 8 was bril.
Jessica, 10, Queensferry

I watched the concerts on the big telly that was sent over. I think the concerts are a great idea to raise awareness to the poverty that is striking many countries and the fact that we have to act. I had a great day with all my friends and it was really fun because I'm usually a very timid person but I was dancing and screaming and singing, even when u shouted at your loudest you couldn't hear yourself! Overall it was a great day out (I was there 3:00 till 10:30), it raised awareness of poverty very effectively and I think it should happen more often!
Lisa, 14, Jersey, Channel Islands

I think it was an amazing success and we should all be proud for what we have achieved! So many people have put so much hard work into it!
Emily, 13 Felixstowe

Live 8 is a great way to help Africa as well as us having fun.
Emily, 10, Basingstoke

Live 8 was great because the bands where great and I loved Madonna, Mcfly and Coldplay. When is the next Live 8?
James, 8, Lymington

I've been glued to my TV screen all day watching Live 8, I loved The Killers! Hopefully Live 8 is gonna start a revolution! I'm proud to wear the "MAKE POVERTY HISTORY" band!!!
Lily, 12, Newport

Wow. The British leg of the gig has just finished and all I can say is how can G8 deny everything now?
Emily, 15, Cardiff

I've been watching London and it's fantastic! Dido was great in her duet and I only wish I had been around to see the 1st- Live Aid. It made me think about Africa.
Kate, 13, Reigate

I'm watching Live 8 in London on BBC and it's amazing!!!! The speeches that the performers have made are so moving. I completely agree with them, make history, make poverty history!
Sarah, 13, Hertfordshire

Something needs to be done to stop poverty, but I don't see why we should do what over-paid pop stars tell us to.
Alex Bridger, 14, Southampton

I think that Live 8 is a wicked idea to raise money for charities! it has all the wicked groups taking part which is awesome!
Jobhan, 13, Birmingham

I'll definitely be watching it! I wish I was going though as there is only this chance, it's like a once in a life time experience!
Sophie, 13, Londonderry

It's all for a good cause...well done!!!!!
Razan, 14, London

I'm watching the concerts and I thought McFly were great! I hope this will help many people in Africa and that this money will help stop children dying every few seconds!
Laurie, 15, Birkhill
