Kids told they can go to Live 8

Live 8 launch
Millions of people have applied for Live 8 tickets, but there's been confusion about whether kids could go.

When details of how to get the 150,000 tickets were revealed on Monday it seemed kids wouldn't be allowed in.

The terms and conditions of the tickets say: "Each ticket will admit one person aged 16 or over to Live 8 London."

But organisers of the huge concert now say that if children get tickets they will be able to go, although they want you to take an adult with you.

Organisers told Newsround: "We leave it to the discretion of parents, but if under 16, Live 8 would prefer you were accompanied by an adult."

They added that they didn't want children spending lots of money sending texts to the number, which cost £1.50 a go, and that's why under-16s were told not to enter.

They would still rather children didn't text in to try and win tickets, instead hoping adults will do so for any kids who want to go.

The concerts will raise awareness of the Make Poverty History campaign, which is trying to help Africa.

Philadelphia, Berlin, Paris and Rome will also play host to Live 8 concerts which will take place at the same time.
