How did Javine rise to fame?
Javine got her first big break when she won the part of Nala in the West End show of The Lion King.
Then she auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals and made it into the last six of the girls' group but was voted out at the last hurdle. The winners of course went on to become Girls Aloud.
What did she do next?
Javine launched her own solo pop career. Her first single, called Real Things, went straight into the charts at number four.
What about Eurovision?
Then she signed up as one of the entrants to represent the UK in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. She won the national heat, beating people like Jordan and Andy Scott-Lee. After winning, Javine said she was "gobsmacked" to have been chosen by the public.
Her song is called Touch My Fire.
On the Eurovision Song Contest, Javine said: "I can't see myself coming last. I know I'm going to be in the top 10."
The Eurovision Song Contest can be seen at 8pm on BBC One on Saturday 21 May.
