Rhino orphan hooks up with goat

A white rhino
When Clover the rhino's mother was killed, the calf faced a lonely life, but then another orphan - a goat called Bok-Bok - became her best pal.

The odd couple have formed a close bond and can be seen walking side-by-side at a game park in South Africa.

"If the rhino goes walking on its own, the goat goes absolutely mad," said one of the handlers.

Clover will soon have to join a herd of rhinos at the park but it's hoped a new friend can be found for Bok-Bok.

Eleven-month-old white rhino Clover was orphaned when she was three months old after poachers killed her mother.

The creatures, which were pushed to the brink of extinction a century ago, are targeted for their horns.

Clover's friendship with Bok-Bok has stunned their handlers.

"We were all shocked," said one.
