Teachers reveal weird Xmas gifts

Presents for teachers
A small grey lump of home-made soap was one of the strangest presents given to teachers, according to a survey.

Other bizarre gifts reported include a broach made from gold-spray painted pasta and a pillow case with Johnny Depp's face printed on it.

The survey found teachers in the North East are most likely to get gifts, and Londoners buy the most expensive ones.

But most female teachers said their favourite present was a special card, note or drawing by pupil.

Sweets and chocolate also came high up on the list of things they like to be given.

Worst pressie

Unfortunately not all gifts were so well received.

One male teacher said the worst present he ever got was a stuffed mongoose fighting a snake, given to him when he was working in the United Arab Emirates.
