A tree that is millions of years old is being planted in Kew Gardens in London to see if it can survive here.

The tree, called a Wollemi Pine, was once thought to have been extinct for two million years but some of them were then found growing in Australia.

It's though the pines were growing at the same time as the dinosaurs walked the earth, 200m years ago.

Fewer than 100 adult trees are growing in the wild at the moment and their location is being kept top secret.

Only select people who work in the Wollemi National Park are allowed to visit the area where the trees are.

Plant experts say finding the plant still growing now is like finding a dinosaur still living.

As well the pine planted at Kew Gardens by nature TV presenter Sir David Attenborough a second one is being put into Kew's country garden in Sussex by actor Kenneth Branagh.
