The Childcatcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has been voted the scariest villain in children's books.
He got almost a third of the votes in the online poll, finishing just ahead of fur fan and dog-snatcher Cruella DeVil from 101 Dalmatians.
Harry Potter foe Lord Voldemort is the fourth most-feared, just behind Oliver Twist bully Bill Sykes.
The younger people asked said they found Voldemort and the Grand High Witch from the Witches most scary.

Readers older than 50 didn't agree, saying they found Sykes and Lord of the Rings' Gollum more frightening.
Author Roald Dahl came up with two of the top 10 villains, with Miss Trunchball from Matilda joining Cruella DeVil.
