Buffalo roam through US suburb

Anyone for buffalo tennis?
A herd of buffalo roamed where they weren't supposed to this week, causing chaos in a posh part of Baltimore in the US state of Maryland.

The creatures stopped the traffic and alarmed homeowners as they wandered through the streets, before being shepherded into a tennis court.

They were rounded up into a trailer and returned to their farm.

One resident said "there was an unusual happening at the tennis courts and they weren't playing doubles".

At least 12 police cars and a police helicopter were used to capture the creatures.

Creativity

A police spokesman said: "I've got to give a lot of credit to the creativity of our officers."
