Runaway elephants on city rampage

Escaped elephant
Six runaway elephants have caused chaos in South Korea's capital city, Seoul.

The creatures escaped from an amusement park and rampaged through the streets, trampling through a restaurant and gardens among other places.

Police cars were used to block in the elephants as officers attempted to stop them getting to other parts of town.

One of the creatures was briefly penned in at a police station, before all of the runaways were rounded up and returned to the park.

"It seems one of them panicked, causing the others to also panic and flee the grounds," said an official.

One woman was reportedly injured as the creatures ran wild, when one of them walloped her with its trunk.
