X Factor bosses try to keep Louis

X-Factor judge Louis Walsh
X Factor bosses are in talks with Louis Walsh to try and make him change his mind about quitting the ITV show.

Newspaper reports on Wednesday said Louis was leaving because he was fed up of the way fellow judges Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne treated him.

According to The Sun, Louis quit after Simon Cowell called him an idiot and Sharon Osbourne threw water over him.

But if Louis is back on Saturday's show some may suggest it's all a publicity stunt to get even more viewers.

An X Factor spokesman said: "We are talking to Louis and we hope we will be able to persuade him to return to the show on Saturday."

Louis told The Sun: "I have been totally humiliated and undermined by both of them. This has caused me nothing but stress... I have had enough. I'm going back to Dublin. I'm not putting up with it any more."

The paper also suggested that both Simon and Sharon have been trying to get their fellow judge to reconsider.

The trio have been squabbling ever since the first series began, but in recent weeks things have got worse and worse.

He chose to keep The Conway Sisters instead of Maria, who had been tipped to win, which proved very unpopular and prompted the audience to boo him.
