Kylie announces 'comeback' dates

Kylie on stage when she kicked off her Showgirl tour before being diagnosed with cancer.
Kylie Minogue will be back on stage next year to complete the tour she had to cancel due to her cancer.

It's also been revealed that the singer will release a download of Somewhere Over The Rainbow on Christmas Day.

Kylie was diagnosed with cancer in May and cancelled the Australian leg of her Showgirl tour while she received treatment, including surgery.

Tour promoter Michael Gudinski said these gigs have now been rescheduled for the end of 2006.

"Kylie's touched that so many of her fans are waiting so patiently for the rescheduling of her Showgirl tour," said Mr Gudinski.

Exact dates would be announced in the new year, he added.

The 2006 concerts will be updated from the original version "as a thank you for the patience and understanding of Australian ticket holders".

Cancer tests

Kylie has her final treatment on 18 December in Paris and has been told by doctors she will miss Christmas at home with her family because she must wait for further tests.

The singer's live version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow was recorded at London's Earl's Court earlier this year and will be accompanied by Kylie's version of Marilyn Monroe's Santa Baby.
