FA Cup: Man Utd book final place

van Nistelrooy
It will be Man Utd against Arsenal in the FA Cup final after Utd saw off Newcastle 4-1 in their semi-final at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday.

Ruud van Nistelrooy put Utd in front. A Paul Scholes header and another van Nistelrooy effort gave them an impressive lead.

The Magpies hit back through Shola Ameobi, but Cristiano Ronaldo's goal ended their hopes of a comeback.

Arsenal booked their place in the final by beating Blackburn 3-0 on Saturday.

It was a gloomy match for Newcastle, marking their second cup exit in four days after they crashed out of the Uefa Cup.

The game also marked van Nistelrooy's return to form - he had not scored in nine games.
