A Harry Potter actor has landed the role of the new Dr Who.
David Tennant, 33, is about to appear as Barty Crouch Jr in Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. He's just been cast as the 10th Timelord.
He replaces Christopher Eccleston, who announced he was quitting the role after filming just one series of the revived sci-fi show.
He will begin filming a 13-part series in the summer. He said Christopher was a "tough act to follow".
David said he was delighted to get the part - especially as watching Dr Who when he was a kid made him decide to be an actor.
"It has been a lifelong dream to get my very own Tardis," he said.
He will star alongside Billie Piper, who will be staying on in her role as the Dr's assistant, Rose.
