Our school lunches are from a pub

Charlie
Healthy eating has been in the news a lot, with TV chef Jamie Oliver saying school meals aren't good enough.

Charlie's school decided to make a change by bringing in their meals from the local pub.

He tells us about it in his report.

"I've been at this school for two years, and I really like it, except for one thing - the food was horrible!

It didn't have any flavour, but now things have changed for the better.

Now, it's more like luxury food!

Really tasty

We've had a brilliant tuna pasta bake, and a lovely hot-pot so far.

We've also started having real plates and glasses, rather than plastic trays and cups, which make it feel like a proper meal at home.

My parents think it's great too, and I know it's important to eat healthily, without too much fat.

We have a set menu, and I can't wait to try more dishes - the lasagne sounds excellent!"
