Policeman saves stricken hamster

Hamster
A hamster was given a temporary home at a police station after one of the officers saved him from a cat.

PC Simon Wills saw the furry creature being chased by a moggy when he was driving through Bromsgrove in Worcestershire and went to the rescue.

He took the rodent back to the police station, where staff cared for him.

PC Wills attempted to trace the hamster's owner by knocking on doors in the area, but no-one could help, so the search for the owner is continuing.

The officer, who has a hamster of his own, took the creature home at the end of his shift.
