In pictures: Apple mosaics

Helge Lundstrom claims to be the world's first apple artist. Every year, he makes an apple mosaic for the Apple Market festival in Kivik, Sweden.

Each mosaic can contain up to 75,000 apples and weigh a very heavy 4,000kg

Helge and his daughter Emma Karp take about three weeks to build each sculpture.

But the art work only lasts a month before the apples go rotten!
