Fashion mag stands up for hoodies

You may be banned from wearing them where you want, but it seems hoodies are about to become fashion must-haves.

Hoodie wearers have been banned from shopping malls like Bluewater, but a big fashion magazine has tipped them in its top 100 trends for the year ahead.

Tony Blair and the director of children's charity Kidscape have both backed a ban in some public places.

But that hasn't stopped Vogue magazine saying it's time to claim hoodies back from their bad reputation.

They also tip leggings and the colour white to be hits in the months to come as well.

The magazine says top designers like Stella McCartney are working on new-style hoodies.

Leggings have also been praised, with the magazine editor saying: "Hoodies might be out of favour in shopping malls but fashion refuses to give them up.

"Leggings too are back, but I wouldn't recommend you wearing the two together."
