Penguins saved from giant iceberg

Penguins
Life is looking up for penguins under threat from the world's biggest iceberg, as it has started drifting away from their home.

The big berg had cut the Adele penguins breeding ground off from the sea, adding 100 miles to their journey to fetch food for their young.

The chicks were in danger of starving, but the ice has started to float away.

Scientists don't know how many chicks died, but hope the ice will move quickly enough to help the survivors.

The whopping chunk of ice also cut scientists at three research bases off from ships bringing them supplies.

Iceberg B15A is 100 miles long, and is the biggest floating object in the world. It contains enough water to feed the river Nile for 80 years.
