If the state of the school toilets are getting you into a state then there are things you can do.
You don't have to put up with lousy loos, crummy conveniences or faulty facilities.
Pupils at Joseph Leckie Technology College, Walsall, had toilets with rats, crumbling brickwork and blocked bogs.
They got so fed up they made their own film and gave it to the schools minister Lord Adonis when he visited
the area.
Now action could be on its way to turn around the lack-lustre lavs.
And in Coventry, pupil power at Finham Park School means the beastly bogs are getting a makeover.
They got together to work out how to make the toilets a better place and came up with some ideas to keep the toilets cleaner, looking nicer and making them a better place to visit.
So here are a few tips on what to do if your school toilets need a good revamp:
Find out what other pupils think
Encourage other pupils to look after the toilets
Use your school council
Talk to whoever looks after you
Talk to the head teacher
Print off a poster
Organise a petition
Write letters
Support your case with facts
