Fiona is a cheerleader with the Sapphire Elite Hearts.
The squad won a second place prize at the BCA Western classic competition in March 2005.
In her report, she tells us what it's like being a cheerleader and why it's a really good hobby!
"I found out about cheerleading from a friend at school.
I'd never heard about it, but it sounded like something new for an individual to try.
I looked into it from a website, and it went from there. It sounded really fun.
I've been doing it for about a year and a half, and it's got better as it's gone on.
Routines
The great bits about cheerleading are entering the competitions because we do quite well in them sometimes.
We practice quite a bit. We do Monday nights for an hour and a half, and sometimes as it gets closer to competitions, we do more to polish up the routines.
We practice one cheer routine, and there's a stunt group.
That's where you lift people up and throw then into the air.
Sometimes we do a dance routine as well, and it also involves gymnastics.
Dangerous!

My squad has performed at carnivals and we also do fetes in the summer - that's really good fun.
Sometimes you get a bit hurt, and it's quite dangerous sometimes, but I've never been hurt.
The danger is the best bit about it!
What makes a good cheerleader is probably commitment and the ability to enjoy it.
And cheerleading is not just for girls - guys actually started cheerleading.
It began with a boy called Johnny Campbell in America. We have two boys in the under-16 squad.
Really exciting
I want to be a cheerleader as long as I possibly can.
It's the best thing I can do during the holidays. I do it at home, I do it in the back garden, I do it everywhere.
It's great fun, it's good exercise and you make loads of new friends.
Overall, it's just really exciting. It's a really good hobby!"

Why don't you write us a Press Pack report - and get it published on the site?!
It can be about anything that's happened in your local area - or your views on the news.
