Farm animals can feel emotion too

Pigs
If you think you can tell if your pet is feeling happy or sad you could be right, as a new study says animals have feelings just like us.

Researchers say they've found out that farm animals like pigs, cows and chickens can feel friendship, anger, happiness and loneliness.

And they can even get in huff if they feel another animal is getting more attention than them.

Scientists hope the research could help improve conditions for farm animals.

The study also found out that cows have good memories and avoid other cows they've found difficult in the past, and chickens learn by copying other chickens.

The results of the study were discussed at the Compassion in World Farming conference.
