Natasha gig streamed on mobiles

Natasha Bedingfield at the concert
Natasha Bedingfield performed a concert in London on Monday where only 200 people were allowed in - but loads got to see it on their mobile too.

The singer arranged to stream her show live on 3G mobile phones and 2,000 people paid five pounds to watch it.

Promoters say if you can't make it to a live gig or can't afford the ticket, watching on your phone is the next best thing.

Natasha's not the first to put her gig on mobiles, Rooster did it in 2004.

'Most downloaded artist'

Natasha explained to Newsround why she decided to broadcast her concert on mobiles: "I'm the most downloaded UK artist and they asked if I wanted to get involved and I said 'Yeah, great!'"

The concert was transmitted by mixing sound from Natasha's microphone with footage from four cameras dotted around the auditorium.

These were then mixed together in a lorry outside the venue, sent to the phone company and finally transmitted on the 3G network.
