Tent crisis hits quake survivors

Refugee tents in the quake zone
There are serious concerns about the Pakistan earthquake survivors in the coming winter months after it emerged there aren't enough tents for them.

A United Nations official has warned: "The need here is greater than the existence of tents in the world. We need more tents than exist."

The official said that the problem was a bigger challenge than the tsunami.

The affected region includes some of the highest peaks and deepest valleys in the world, which are hard to reach.

Despite improvements in the weather, it's thought that 20% of the worst-hit areas have still not been reached.

It's feared that as many as 54,000 people died in the quake, which also affected India and Afghanistan.
