Laura's China Diary

Laura Jones
Newsround's Laura is out in China for a week of special reports.

Each day she'll be letting us know what it's like to report from one of the world's biggest and most fascinating countries.

Day five

This is my last day in China, and it's been a really interesting week.

We've found out a lot of what we came to discover, which was how the changes the country is experiencing are affecting people here.

But also, on a personal level, it's been a great experience too.

One of the best bits was going to meet Liu Meng and seeing how she and other kids in China are training for the Olympics.

It was amazing how hard working and dedicated they were.

I also loved going to the panda centre. It was a real privilege being so close to some of the most endangered animals in the world, and the people trying to save them.

It has been tricky though - like trying to make yourself understood and trying to order food that I recognised and wanted!

All in all it's been amazing, and a trip I will never forget.
