Stereophonics top download chart

Stereophonics have topped the UK's official download chart with the first single from their new album.

After five weeks on the chart, Dakota has finally managed to end The Chemical Brothers' four-week run at number one.

Their track Galvanise has slipped back to number five, making way for US stars to all move up one place on the chart.

Nelly and Tim McGraw are at number two with Over and Over, J-Lo's at three with Get Right, and Gwen Stefani's Rich Girls is at four.

Out of Touch by Uniting Nations was the only new entry in the top 10. The Futurehead's cover of 80's hit Hounds of Love was the next new entry at number 16.

The debut single from female MC Verbalicious, Don't Play Nice, also entered the chart at number 30.

The download chart is based on the most popular legally downloaded songs on the web.

You can hear the download chart every Wednesday on Radio 1 at 6pm.
