Rainbows are usually aged between five and seven except in Ulster in Northern Ireland where girls can join as young as four-years-old.
A girl who joins Rainbows makes a promise:
I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.
Rainbows earn Roundabout badges for taking part in activities which they can sew onto their uniform.
Some examples of Rainbow badges are:
- Making a paper chain
- Making a picture with hand prints
- Make a friendship quilt
- Finding out about keeping clean
