F1: Alonso takes pole in Brazil

World championship leader Fernando Alonso is in pole postition to take the title in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.

The Spainish driver only needs to finish in the top three to become the sport's youngest ever champion at the age of just 24.

An error by Alonso's closest rival Kimi Raikkonen led the Finn to finish a poor fifth in the qualifying race.

Juan Pablo Montoya was second fastest, with Giancarlo Fisichella third and Britain's Jenson Button fourth.
