Press Packer Amy recently joined her local sailing club and now she goes as often as she can.
In her report she describes how it feels to be out on the water and what she gets up to at her club.
"I recently joined my local sailing club.
It's a great thing to do because it keeps you fit.
If you're unlucky, you might even have to do some swimming!
Most of all though, it's fun!
Joining the club
I got involved when my mum took me and my sister down to the open day. We got shown around and taken out on a boat.
I loved it so much I decided to go along the next Friday.
Friends and races
Everyone who goes to the club is so much fun, and they're always there if you need them.
We have a club on Friday nights, where we play games, make friends, have races and get wet!
There's a regatta every Sunday too.
You can go along and muck about near the harbour or, if you're brave, you can race across the Moray Firth!
Capsizing
We sail in Oppies, short for Optimists, and believe me, you have to be
very optimistic if you're sailing one!
I don't really get seasick but I did get quite scared once when it was
really windy and my boat half capsized!
I love sailing and it's definitely a must for anyone who enjoys water sports.
Even if you're not as lucky as me and don't live near the sea, there's bound to be a lake club near you!
Doing my own thing
I sail on my own or with other
people, it depends on the weather and what sort of mood I'm in.
My favourite bit about sailing would have to be the fact that you're
out there on the water with no-one telling you what to do!"
