The Annies

These are Hollywood's animation awards handed out by the International Animated Film Society.

They've been going since 1972 to honour one of the first animators, Max Fleischer, who bought cartoon characters like Popeye to life.

The awards are seen as the highest honour for animators, and as well as films they recognise things like videos, TV programmes and adverts.
