JK Rowling's baby girl, who was born on Sunday, has been named MacKenzie Murray, she has said on her website.
The Harry Potter creator said that she and her husband Neil were "absolutely delighted" and added that MacKenzie is "ridiculously beautiful".
She also thanked all the fans who have been congratulating her, and said there may be some Potter news on the way.
JK said she had been planning to update her site before MacKenzie was born, so will be making a few "tweaks" to it.
Three children
MacKenzie will have two middle names, Jean and Rowling.
The author married Neil Murray on Boxing Day 2001 and this is their second child. Their first, David, will be two years old in March.
JK already has a 11-year-old daughter, Jessica from a previous marriage. In the past she has said that she always wanted three children.
The next Potter book, The Half-Blood Prince is due out on 16 July 2005.
