The director of the fifth Harry Potter film has been named as David Yates.
On Monday film-makers Warner Bros confirmed that the Briton has been signed up to direct Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
The film will be produced by David Heyman, from a screenplay by Michael Goldenberg. Production is expected to begin in the UK in January 2006.
"I am thrilled that David Yates is going to direct Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," said Heyman.
"Not only does he have tremendous passion for the world of Harry Potter, but he is a great director."
Although The Order of the Phoenix is not yet in production, Potter fans won't have to too long for the next installment.
The movie based on the fourth Potter book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is due in cinemas on 18 November 2005.
