Humans ape animals at London Zoo

The human zoo
London Zoo has brought in a new species for the Bank Holiday weekend only.

They are humans. There are eight of them and they will be spending three days camped out on Bear Mountain.

The special exhibit, called the Human Zoo, hopes to show the nature of man and the impact people have on the animal kingdom.

The people taking part are only clothed in underwear. It could get chilly for them, so you'll be pleased to know that they're being allowed home at night.

The participants were chosen from 30 hopefuls.

One of them, Simon Spiro, 19, said: "I'm not even worried about the fact that it might be cold and rainy.

"I've brought Pocket Scrabble in case we're bored."
